The A&H’s Telephone Museum is Florida’s only museum dedicated solely to the history of the telephone.
Since opening its doors in 1981, it has invited visitors to explore the incredible evolution of communication, from hand-cranked wall phones to rotary dials and switchboards, while also preserving the remarkable story of the Winter Park Telephone Company, a local business founded by the Galloway family in 1910.
Today, the museum remains a dynamic educational resource for learners of all ages. Through interactive displays and hands-on programming, young visitors gain a tactile understanding of how people once connected across distances, turning history into a playful, enlightening experience perfect for field trips. Families and senior groups often explore the museum together, sharing personal memories of party lines and operator calls, sparking meaningful conversations across generations.
