The Maitland Art Center has been a cherished part of this community for nearly 90 years. Out of respect for our residential neighbors, all events must conclude by 10:00 PM to allow vendor breakdown to be completed by 11:00 PM.
Yes. Alcohol may be served on-site, but only by a licensed and insured bartender. Recommended providers can be found on our Preferred Vendor List.
Yes. All renters, and all wedding vendors entering the property, must provide a certificate of insurance with a minimum of:
- $1,000,000 per occurrence
- $2,000,000 aggregate
You must also list Art & History Museums of Maitland as an additional insured. This is non-negotiable and must be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to your event. Day-of event insurance is available through eventsured.com.
Booking:
- To reserve a date, a signed contract and 50% of the rental fee are required.
- The remaining balance and a $500 refundable security deposit are due 60 days before your event.
- If booking within 60 days of the event, full payment and deposit are due at signing.
Cancellation:
- Rental fees already paid are non-refundable.
- If canceling more than 90 days in advance, you may transfer your date once with a $200 fee.
- Changes within 60 days are considered cancellations and result in the forfeiture of all rental fees paid.
- The refundable deposit will be returned for cancellations with proper written notice.
Yes. Due to the historic nature of our property, the following are not allowed:
- Open flames
- Glitter or confetti
- Fake flowers or floral arrangements
- Loose flower petals are permitted but must be fully cleaned up before the end of your rental period.
Yes. A member of our rentals team will be present for the duration of your event. While they do not coordinate your event, they are available to answer questions, assist with venue-related concerns, and ensure that all A&H policies are upheld.
Parking is available:
- Along Packwood Avenue and Central Avenue
- In the lot adjacent to the Germaine Marvel Building
